E-Invoicing ASP Deadline: AED 50M+ Businesses Must Appoint a Provider by 30 October
The e-invoicing ASP deadline for the UAE’s largest businesses is 30 October 2026. Businesses whose annual revenue is AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) by that date, ahead of mandatory e-invoicing from 1 January 2027. As of mid-October, the Ministry of Finance has not announced any further extension.
What changed with the e-invoicing ASP deadline
The original deadline to appoint a provider was 31 July 2026. In May 2026, the Ministry of Finance pushed it back to 30 October through Ministerial Resolution No. 66 of 2026, which amends Ministerial Decision No. 244 of 2025 on implementing the e-invoicing system.
The 1 January 2027 start date stayed the same. That leaves roughly nine weeks from appointment to go-live, and those weeks include the year-end close.
Key dates
| Who | Appoint an ASP by | E-invoicing mandatory from |
| Annual revenue of AED 50 million or more | 30 October 2026 | 1 January 2027 |
| Annual revenue below AED 50 million | 31 March 2027 | 1 July 2027 |
| Government entities | 31 March 2027 | 1 October 2027 |
What happens if the deadline is missed
Cabinet Decision No. 106 of 2025 sets the penalty for missing the e-invoicing ASP deadline: AED 5,000 for every month of delay in appointing a provider or implementing the system, with any part of a month counted in full.
The operational risk is larger than the fine. Only structured e-invoices exchanged through an accredited provider are valid, so a business without one will be unable to issue compliant invoices from its mandatory date. With every business in the first group working to the same dates, provider onboarding capacity tightens as 30 October approaches.
What to do before 30 October
- Confirm your revenue band, and whether you fall in the first group.
- Shortlist providers from the Ministry of Finance’s list of accredited service providers and confirm each one’s accreditation status directly.
- Sign the agreement and complete the appointment, following our guide to appointing an ASP on EmaraTax.
- Start invoice data mapping and ERP integration now, and use the voluntary phase that opened on 1 July 2026 to test before go-live.
